I have to say that I've been getting so many error messages, slowness, duplication of posts, text appearing wrong and general cackiness, all of which would appear to be either the fault of my phone or my software, i'm seriously thinking of taking my posts elsewhere.

I'm puzzled by the word 'thrown'?

Errors are "thrown" in code: a bit of code decides it doesn't know what to do with an error, so it "throws" it to another bit of code and so on upwards until some bit of code is qualified to handle it (or in this case, not - I believe this was during a server update).

I understand the temptation, Para. I'd like it if you stayed though. The site has been slower than 5 year old molasses for me, and on dial-up, that's a serious pain in the arse.

I had a brief period with errors and a missing nav bar this pm but apart from that mostly fine. But the site has been a bit but wasn't sure if it was my laptop.

also the SMS number has been stopped, so no more posting live for me...

I wouldn't know, I have a very basic phone and don't use it for anything other than phoning and texting
