Unsuccessful challenge to the ontoogical security of the nut. It went to the edge of chaos but remained coherent and can continue going on with daily life.
Real story was more mundane. Was reading Gidden's book and cracking nuts ... except this one. It snapped the nut cracker. Perhaps a sledgehammer would be more helpful except that there may not be anything left to eat.
